Vale Rodrigues quarry
The “Vale Rodrigues” Quarry is located at “Maciço Calcário Estremenho”, a geomorphological area surrounded by great natural and mineral resources.
On this quarry we are able to extract limestone with excellent chemical properties that can be used in many industries.
Location:Vale Rodrigues, Alcobaça
Extraction Area: 176.000 m2
On 2019 the Pragosa group finalized the construction of a new industrial unit designed for the production of calcium carbonate.
The co-financed investment allowed us to continue with our inovation strategy through the development of new products for diferent markets, more sofisticated and with more added value to our products.
The recent partnership with the Faculty of Pharmacy from the University of Lisbon marks the beginning of this endeavour.
